ALVIN TORGERSON                   (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	Alvin Kenneth Torgerson, Onawa, Iowa, passed away at Burgess Memorial 
Hospital at Onawa on January 4, 1981.  Death came at the age of 74 years, 5 
months, and 22 days.
	He was born on July 13, 1906, at Soldier, Iowa, the son of Martin and 
Sophia Mikkelrud Torgerson.  
	Survivors include his three sons, twelve grandchildren and two great 
grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one 
sister.
