	Marion Torgerson of Ute, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Torgerson 
of Soldier, met a tragic death Saturday forenoon while he was hauling railroad 
ties to his home in Ute.  
	Marion Clifford Torgerson, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin 
Torgerson, was born April 8, 1909 near Soldier.  He passed away at Ute, Iowa, 
June 23, 1945 at the age of 36 years, two months and 14 days.   
	He was united in marriage to Margaret Hartigan on January 24, 1934.  
To this union four daughters were born—Norma, who died in infancy, Carole, 10 
years, Marlene seven years, and Sharon nine months.
	Besides his wife and small daughters, he leaves to mourn his loss, his 
parents of Soldier, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Soren P. Sorenson of Moorhead, 
Iowa, one brother, Alvin of Fremont, Nebr.; and a host of other relatives and 
friends.
