Mr. Uhl was born in Germany, May 16, 1857, and migrated to the United States in 1875 and coming to Iowa settled near Mapleton. Mr. Uhl was a member of the Immaculate Conception church in Sioux City. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rose Uhl, four sons, Ray and Harry Uhl, of Sioux City, M.C. Uhl of Hinton, and Alois Uhl of Bronson, and two brothers, Isador of Mapleton, and Alois, living in Germany.
