Leo J. Ullrich
MAPLETON, Iowa - Leo Joseph Ullrich, 89, of Mapleton died Saturday at a Sioux 
City hospital.

Mr. Ullrich was born Jan. 6, 1908, at Ute, Iowa, the son of Englebert and 
Julia (Schaffer) Ullrich. He married Hildegarde Thomas on Jan. 27, 1931, in 
Mapleton. 

Survivors include his wife; three sons; five daughters; two brothers; a sister 
of Mapleton; a sister-in-law of Whiting; 24 grandchildren; and eight great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and Leo; a daughter, Mary in 
infancy; a grandson, Dennis Lauters; three sisters; and a brother.
