Sorensen officiating. Mrs. Don Solberg sang “Face to Face” and “Beyond The Sunset”, accompanied at the organ by Miss Margaret Evenson. Interment was in Soldier Valley cemetery under the direction of Pearson Funeral Home. Casket bearers were Kermit, Lowell, Milton and Clifford Amunson, Arnold Amundson, and Bennett Longlee. Mrs. Amelia Ulven was born Jan. 26, 1880 at Soldier, Iowa and passed from this life at Onawa where she had been a patient in a nursing home for the past four years. Death came December 11, 1963 at the age of 83 years. She had been a lifetime resident of the Soldier community. On March 7, 1901 she was united in Marriage to Even Ulven at Soldier. Mr. Ulven died Feb. 27, 1953. She was a member of Soldier Lutheran Church. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Ben Winter, Jefferson, S. D., Mrs. L. A. Solberg, Moorhead, Mrs. Earl Howard, Dunlap, Mrs. William Kirchoff, San Rafael, Calif., and Mrs. Stanley Seaton, Moorhead; three sons, Elmer and Herman of Onawa and Virgil of Sioux City. Also 24 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, four children, two brothers and two sisters.
