HAROLD ULVEN                       (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)
	
	Harold Ulven, a lifelong resident of the Soldier, Iowa Community, 
passed away April 3, 1978 at Onawa, Iowa.
	Harold was born December 16, 1900 at Soldier, Iowa; the son of Ole A. 
and Karen Evenson Ulven.  He was united in marriage to Mary Hanson on August 
12, 1925 at Sioux City, Iowa.  
	Survivors include his wife, Mary at Soldier, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. 
Robert (Shirley) Aronson of Fort Collins, Colorado and Mrs. Frank (Lois) 
Whitney of Oxnard, California; two sons; 11 grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers, and 5 sisters.
