    Funeral services for Bennett C. Ulven, 68,  passed away  Wednesday, 
November 15, 1989
	Bennett Charles Ulven was born August 19, 1921, in Monona County, 
Iowa, the son of Olaf and Edith Braden Ulven.  He married Velma Smidt at the 
Carnarvon Presbyterian Church on July 30, 1950.
	Survivors include his wife, Velma, two sons, Fred of Storm Lake and 
Alan of Fonda, a daughter, Mindy Wehde of Fonda, seven grandchildren, two 
brothers, Earl of Mapleton and Vern of Soldier, and two sisters, Mildred 
Britton of Martelle and Doris Stoffregan of Lake View.
	He was preceded in death by a brother, Don and a sister, Lydia and two 
nephews.
