Bernice Ward                      (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	
	Bernice was born January 23, 1904, in Soldier, Iowa, the daughter of 
Theodore and Hilda (Hanson) Thoreson.  She married Calvin T. Ward June 16, 
1928, in Sioux City, Iowa.  He preceded her in death on August 17, 1969.  “B” 
died Saturday, February 1, 1986, at Sartori Hospital, Cedar Falls, IA.
	She is survived by one niece of Rochelle, Illinois, and two nephews, 
one of Algona, and the other of McKinney, Texas.  She was preceded in death by 
two brothers, a step-son, and her parents.
