JOHN A. WILSON                          (From the collection of Karen Mauch 
Rees)

	John A. Wilson, a longtime resident of the Mapleton and Castana 
communities, passed away at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa, on 
January 31, 1973.
	He was born at Essex, Iowa on January 29, 1882, the son of John and 
Clara Wilson.  
	Survivors include his three daughters and one son  of Creston, Iowa; 
one brother Harry Wilson of Ontario, California, seventeen grandchildren, and 
2 great grandchildren, and number of nieces, and nephews.  One son Robert 
preceded him in death, as well as three brothers.
