LAST RITES HELD
FOX OSCAR WINGATE                 (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	Oscar William Wingate was born October 12, 1885, at Soldier, Iowa, and 
passed away March 10, 1974 at Mapleton, Iowa. He was the son of Hans L. and 
Helen Marie Wingate.
	He married Nettie Melby on  September 25, 1907.   To this union three 
children were born, all of whom survive.  Harlow of Soldier, Mrs. Howard 
(Alice) Thoreson of Sioux City, and Mrs. Bernard (Nadine) Berens of Dunlap.  
Also there are six grandchildren and five great grandchildren and a host of 
nieces and nephews.
	He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie 
Larson, Mrs. Ada Norby, and Mrs. Hilda C. Hanson.
	Mrs. Wingate passed away in June of 1968.
