Preston Barnes
Preston Barnes, 87, of Brooklyn, N.Y., formerly of Lovilia, died Jan. 5, 2006 
in New York, N.Y.
He was born Dec. 25, 1918, in Monroe County, to Arnold and Esta Nedderman 
Barnes. He graduated from Lovilia High in 1937.
He is survived by four children, Stefan of Virginia, Boyd of Tennessee, Naomi 
of New Jersey and Ben of Washington state; four grandchildren and one brother, 
Robert Barnes of Lovilia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Jesse, Howard, Orville, 
Philip and Emmett, and two sisters, Icyle Hope and Florence Toltin.
