Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at Pleasant Corners Cemetery, near Eddyville, Iowa with Pastor Lois Williams officiating. No visitation is planned honoring the wishes of Mrs. Grant. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Corners Church. Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Lola was born on February 26, 1905 in Albia, Iowa to William Isaac and Blanche Dicks Stansbeary. She was married in Missouri to Harry E. Grant who precedes her in death. Lola and her husband lived all over the United States due to Harry’s job. Lola enjoyed crafts, and buying real estate, remodeling and later selling the home, a business venture she enjoyed wherever her residence happen to be. Lola lived primarily in Sun City, Arizona, but always maintained ties to Albia, Iowa. Lola is survived by four nephews, Dale Stansbeary of Albia, Iowa, Bill and his wife, Dorothy, Stansbeary of Littleton, Colorado, Jack Stansbeary of Des Plaines, Illinois and Robert Stansbeary of Ottumwa, Iowa; and a niece, Helen Terrell of Albia, Iowa. Lola is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, John and Loyd Stansbeary; one nephew, John R. “Ronnie” Stansbeary and one niece, Erma Jean Farrington.
