He was born on June 14, 1911 in Tabor, Iowa to George Thomas and Una McCoy Dunsdon. Lyle attended Shady Grove elementary school near Tabor, Iowa. On March 4, 1936 he married Velma Winslow in Red Oak, Iowa. in 1946, they moved from Iowa to Dayton, Wyoming. They resided in Dayton for ten years then moved to Ranchester and built a home. Lyle worked for VC Johnston Lumber Co. for 25 years and he was a volunteer with Ranchester Fire Dept. Later, he worked for Peter Kewit for two years. He enjoyed leather work, woodworking, and gardening. In the last two years they sold their home in Ranchester and moved to Sugarland Ridge in Sheridan. He is survived by his wife, Velma; daughter, Lyla Stout of Sheridan; brother, Donny Dunsdon of Tabor, Iowa; two sisters, Vivian Dyke of Tabor, Iowa and Dola Grigg of Camdenton, Missouri; three grandchildren, Dorcus Palone of Gillette, Roin Stout of Sheridan, and Jodene Prusak of Sheridan; six great grandchildren, Russel and Gwen Stout of Sheridan, Rodina Caugherty of Astorua, South Dakota, Rehia Palone of Gillette, and Matthew and Laurel Prusak of Sheridan; and three great great grandchildren, John and Jeff Caugherty and Elizabeth Palone. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Kenny Dunsdon, and a granddaughter, Anita Stout. Memorial Services will be 2pm Thursday, August 24, 2000 at Kane Funeral Home with Father David Duprey officiating. Interment will follow at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Henderson, Iowa at a later date.
