Richard Sylvester Lindgren was born at Essex, Iowa, Feb. 7, 1908. Together with his parent and two little brothers he came to this community a mere child and lived here until his death with the exception of a year spent at the Custer Sanitorium. After a lingering illness of some three years, he passed away on Feb. 27th. The funeral services were heldfrom the home on March 1st. The remains were laid to rest in the Swedish Lutheran cemetery of Carthage. Richard was a faithful member of the Zion Lutheran church and of the Luther League. The sympathy of the community goes out to the bereaved family, Mr. and Mrs. F.O. Lindgren and sons, Harold and Russell, parents and brothers of the deceased. - Contributed.
