Death was due to pernicious anemia. She was 72 years old. Mrs. Coyner, formerly Miss Emma Jane Elder, was born Nov. 7, 1850, in Pennsylvania. She came to this county when a young girl and resided on a farm near Nichols until about fifteen years ago when she moved to Muscatine. She married Alexander Coyner about 52 years ago, to which union six children were born, all of whom survive. Her husband preceded her in death by forty years. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J.W. Rummells of Nichols and Mrs. George A. Hahn of Muscatine; for sons, Mark, Harry, and Clay Coyner of this city, and Edward Coyner of Chicago; a sister, Mrs. H.J. Brown of Nichols; two brothers, Freeman and John Elder, also of Nichols; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchldren. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the home. The Rev. George Blagg of the First Methodist Episcopal church will officiate. Burial will be made in Greenwood cemetery.
