Married to Odessa F. Brown, January 13, 1875; children: Lewis H., Victor F. Enlisted February 13, 1864, at Indianapolis, Ind., in Company G, Ninth Indiana Volunteer Infantry; served with Sherman on March to the Sea; received gunshot wound at Kenesaw Mountain; discharged May 10, 1865, at Indianapolis, Ind. Settled in O'Brien County, October 10, 1888, holding pastorates in Methodist Episcopal Church at Hartley and Sheldon. Died January 18, 1909, and buried in Floyd Cemetery, Sioux City, Iowa. Was a member of Methodist Episcopal Church thirty-seven years, and pastor twenty-five years. Member G. A. R.
