The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** The Evening Sentinel Shenandoah, Iowa 7 April 1938 Ed Bartles Passes Away Shenandoah Resident Dies at His Home on West Thomas Early Today Ed Bartles, 73, a resident here for a number of years and who had been in a coma, passed away at his home, 1207 West Thomas Avenue this morning. Fred Bartles, a brother of Pacific Junction, Ia., and his sisters, Mrs. Bert Adams of Troy, Kans., and Mrs. Tom Leeper of Thurman are with his wife and children, who were here, with the exception of Mrs. Louis Francl of Omaha, who will arrive today. The other children are Harley Bartles, Willis Bartles, Merle Bartles, Mrs. Howard Greenwalt of Shenandoah, and Roy Bartles of Imogene. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Buntz Funeral Home and will be conducted by Rev. Ben Compton.
