Clarinda Herald Journal 
Mrs Martha Carr Johnson sister of Mrs Ted Davies of Taylor County died 
Thursday at the West Portal Rest Home in Clarinda after a long illness.  She 
had been in the home for a year and two months.
The funeral was held Saturday at the Walker Funeral Home with Rev David Ash of 
the First Methodist Church in charge.  Bural was in the Oak Grove Cemetery 
east of Clarinda.  Mrs Johnson was born at Elkader, Iowa and was the wife of 
Harry Johnson who died in 1956.  Three sons Clarence, Orvie and Klad, Three 
daughters Lilly, Lucille and Lauvon remain behind.
