Taylor, 80, retired Clarinda businessman were held at 10:30 am, Saturday at Walker-Merrick with Rev. Jerold Irvin officiating. Burial will be in Clarinda cemetery. Mr. Taylor died while working in his yard at his home at 217 W. Grant. He was born Oct. 13, 1899, near New Market, the son of J.B. and Emily Carmichael Taylor. He was married to Erma Street in 1924. She preceded him in death in 1978. Mr. Taylor was a pharmacist having come to Clarinda in 1931 to operate the Taylor Drug. Prior to coming to Clarinda he had owned the drug store in New Market. He retired in 1971 having spent over 50 years operating a pharmacy. He was a member of the Clarinda Rotary Club and a former member of the Kiwanis Club here. He was a member of the Clarinda United Methodist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William [Margaret] Welch, Bloomfield Hills, Mi; and Mrs. Byron [Glenna] Winter, Seward, Ne.
