Population, 435. An incorporated town on the M. & St. L. Ry., in South Rush Lake township,
 Palo Alto county, 12 miles south of Emmetsburg, the judicial seat. Has Catholic, Trinity
 Lutheran, Latter Day Saints and Methodist Episcopal churches, a newspaper, the Independent,
 a moving picture theatre and a bank. Tel., W.U. Exp., Adams. George H Wasson,postmaster.
