	J. Lester Langendorfer, 82, of Sioux City, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 
1999, at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting, IA.
	Mr. Langendorfer was born Aug. 24, 1917, at Le Mars, Iowa, the son of 
Charles F. and Nannie (Anderson) Langendorfer.  
	He married Leona Berg on Feb. 1, 1941, in Hobart, Ind.
	
	
	Survivors include his wife; a son his wife, Paul and Vicky of 
Greenville, S.C.; three daughters and their husbands:  Nina and Elmer Vondrak 
of Hinton, Iowa, June and John Small of Decatur, Neb., and Marjorie and Jorgen 
Johnson of Cannon Falls, Minn.; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 
many nieces and nephews.
	He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
