Military File
Muster rolls. Muster-in KeoKuk IA, March 14, 1862. Joined for duty and 
enrolled Feb. 16, 1862 at Des Moines IA for 3 years. Wounded in head Mortal 
April 6, 1862 at Battle of Shiloh. In Hospital at Louisville Ky. Died of his 
wounds April 26, 1862. Captain A. G. Studer. His effects were stolen from the 
transport steamer Minnehha while he was engaged in the battle. Deceased was 24 
years of age. Resided in the City of Des Moines Polk Co. Iowa Born in the 
State of New York Clinton Co.
