Des Moines Register, Fri., 6/27/1980
John Butenhoff died of arteriosclerosis last Monday at Granger. An Alexander 
native, he lived in Jefferson and moved to Des Moines 37 years ago. He was 
retired as a machinist for Deere and Co., a member of Highland Park Christian 
Church and Deere Retirees United Auto Workers Local 450.
Survivors; wife, Bernice, daughters Shirley Burns of Des Moines and Doris 
Crnkovich of Granger and 5 grandchildren.
