Alberta, 78, died at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
She was born in Scranton and lived in Des Moines since 1945.
Survivors include her husband, J. Scotty McDonald of Des Moines; 2 sons, Steve 
(Patty) McDonald of Urbandale & Mike (Leah) McDonald of Saylorville; 2 
daughters, Leslie (Gary) Jochum of Glenwood Springs, CO & Julie (Jim) Welker 
of Des Moines; 4 brothers, John, Clarence, Virgil & Lewis Moore; 2 sisters, 
Lois Kennedy & Eleanor Stanley; 10 grandchildren & 13 great-grandchildren. She 
was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Esther Huggins & Marlys Ury & 1 brother, 
Roger Moore.
