Scott County, Iowa Civil War enlistments in the Thirty-Seventh Iowa Infantry

It was comprised of men over 45 years of age - known as the Gray-Beard
Regiment. Of 914 officers and men, 3 were killed, 145 died, 359 were
discharged, 2 were wounded, 0 were missing and 0 were captured.

The muster - in took place at Muscatine, Dec. 15, 1862. It was mustered
out May 24, 1865.
