EIGHTH  IOWA INFANTRY. (Co B-Scott Co.)
Comprised of 1,027 officers and men. 53 were killed,187 died, 314 were
discharged, 228 were wounded, 8 were missing, 394 were captured and 38
were transferred.

Mustered into service Sep. 12,1861 at Davenport,Iowa. Mustered out at
Selma, Alabama on April 20,1866.
