	Amanda Jane (McCoid) Hein died July 15, 1987, in Huntington Beach, 
California.  
        She was born January 1, 1884  in Shelby County, Iowa, the daughter of 
Elbridge and Nancy Ann McCoid.  She lived on the family farm in Iowa with her 
three sisters, Pearl, Emma, and Mildred and her two brothers, William and 
George.  
	She married Frank Hein on October 18, 1916, in Logan, Iowa.  Frank 
died December 19, 1960.
          Surviving is a daughter, Evelyn Melby; five grandchildren; 12 great 
grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
