She was married to Mindred Wilson KEAIRNES on February 22, 1882, and to this union four children were born, all of whom survive her; Mrs. J. W. Dougal of Dunlap, Clyde of Chicago, Bertha at home, and Wesley at Clarksville, Iowa. She leaves also seven grandchildren and twelve great- grandchildren, three brothers, William of Council Bluffs, James E. of Dunlap, George of Highmore, S.D., and four sisters, Mrs. Emma Jones and Mrs. Chas. Kennedy of Logan, Mrs. Carrie Iles of Narka, Kansas, and Mrs. Ira Wilson of Pittsburg, Kansas. Born of pioneer parents, who came to Gallands Grove in the early 1860s, she early in life learned the meaning of suffering, want, privation, and sacrifice, all of which contributed toward the feelings she maintained for others throughout her long life. Her entire life was spent in this vicinity with the exception of one year, after her marriage, near Defiance, and six months residence in Dunlap. After the death of her companion eight years ago, she remained at her home a few miles east of Dunlap with her daughter Bertha, who gave her the best of cheerful, devoted care during the last years of her life. She was a faithful member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, being baptized when a child, and belonging to the Gallands Grove branch for many years. Elder Carl Self of Omaha will deliver the funeral sermon with Interment in the Manteno Cemetery.
