HANSEN nee Catherine Magdalen VON TERSCH, was born at Westphalia October 28, 1883, and passed away at the Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs Sunday, June 27, at the age of 59 years and 8 months. She spent eight weeks in the hospital where she suffered a stroke, and was in a coma for 2 1/2 weeks before her death. Mrs. Hansen lived all her married life on their farm 6 miles south east of Dunlap. She was married September 8, 1902, at Denison to James E HANSEN, who with seven children, and fifteen grandchildren, survive her. Her children are Mrs. Ethel Harrison of Woodbine, Ivan of Ute, Ira and Fred of Defiance, Mrs. Mary M. Killpack of Logan, Charles and Jesse of Woodbine. Clara Mae died in infancy. She is also survived by two sisters and two brothers; Mrs. J.W. Sontag of Dow City, Mrs. Elizabeth Majerus of Avoca, August and Henry Von Tersch of Harlan. Rev. E. Leo Ford, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dunlap, officiated for funeral services and interment was made in Manteno cemetery.
