Box 7735, Des Moines, Iowa 50322 This bible was presented to Sarah Groce by her mother during 1860. Many entries appear to have been written at the same time, suggesting that records from other, older volumes were transcribed into the new bible. Sarah Groce (or Gross) married Samuel Law, whose obituary was among things in the bible. The moved to Iowa, possibly Grinnell. Slinaff may also be Slinoff. He came to America in 1855, locating first in New York state. In 1862, he enlisted in Co. C 108th Reg. NY Vol. He married Sarah E. Gross at Hastings, MI 12 Dec 1869. In 1875, they came to Iowa. There were several other items included within the bible.
