This, of course, is a great underestimation of our ancestors. Charles' different moves gives us a good glimpse of how mobile they actually were. Born in clinton County, Ohio in 1828, he moved to Clermont County, Ohio by 1850. Then in 1857, when he was 29 years of age, he moved to Boone County, Indiana. In 1858 he returned to Ohio to marry Esella Jane Anderson, taking her back to Indiana where their first three children were born. Then, with family, they moved to Story County, Iowa in September 1861. Their last child was born in 1874, and two years later in 1876 Esella died. By March 1887, Charles moved to Hitchock County, Nebraska, staying there the next ten years, until February 1897. Next, he moved to Johnson County, Missouri, near Warrensburg, where he stayed only until December of the same year, when once again, he returned to Story County, Iowa. It was here he lived out the rest of his life, dying in his sleep in 1914 at the age of 86 in Story County, Iowa. *remember that Story County, Iowa is where his wife Esella died some 38 years earlier" Photo: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ia/story/photos/bios/wills391gbs.jpg File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ia/story/bios/wills391gbs.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/iafiles/ File size: 2.0 Kb
