Kingman, 77, of Collins died of a heart ailment Thursday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Collins United Methodist Church in Collins, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery there. Mr. Kingman was born (29 Sep 1924) in Des Moines and had lived in Collins most of his life. He was a retired farmer and a Naval Armed Guard veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion 81 and Masonic Lodge 513, both in Collins. He was a trustee with his church and had been a private pilot for 48 years. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Buck) (m. 23 Jun 1945); five daughters, Pat Appleby of Scottsdale, Ariz., Karen Cochran of Grinnell and Cathy Long, Mary Beth Elliott, and Tammie Tillman, all of Collins; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church, where a Mosonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Fredregrill Funeral Home in Collins is handling arrangements.
