Clayton Kline, 61, Route 1, Gladbrook, died Sunday morning at MACH East in Marshalltown, where he had been a patient since Thursday. Services were held from the Goettsch-Perrin Funeral Home in Gladbrook at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Robert Marquardt, pastor of the Peace United Church of Christ, in charge. Burial was in Badger Hill cemetery. Born November 19, 1909, at Gladbrook, he was the son of R. Lee Kline and Ellen Waddell Kline. He grew to manhood and received his education in the Gladbrook community and worked as a farm laborer. Mr. Kline was a member of the Peace United Church of Christ at Gladbrook and the Eagles Lodge in Marshalltown. Survivors include his parents; two brothers and one sister, Donald Kline of Santa Anna, Calif., Dean Kline of Charles City and Mrs Roy (Belva) Froelich of Chippewa Falls, Wisc. Special music was by Mr and Mrs Robert Wiese. Flowers were in charge of Mrs and Mrs Alvin Wiese and Mr and Mrs Ernest Kock. Pallbearers were Don Hein, Gary Boldt, Albert Hein, Dennis McGowen, David McGowen and Lynn Steiert.
