Mrs D. Davenport
Dies In Milwaukee

Mrs. D. Davenport, 97, former resident of Creston, died at her home at 82109
Milwaukee Avenue, Milwaukee, Wis., this morning.  Her body will be brought to
Creston for graveside services later this week.

Emma Belle Howard Davenport was well known in Creston and lived here until
moving to Milwaukee 15 years ago.  Her husband, D. Davenport, was a Creston
banker.  He died in 1936.

Mrs. Davenport is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Robert W. Baird of Milwaukee; a
sister, Gertrude Howard of Natchex, Miss.; a brother, Herbert Howard of
Hayworth, Ill.; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Her body will be brought to the Keating and Beemer funeral home in Creston. 
Grave side services will be held at Graceland cemetery.  Dr. A. P. Keast, pastor
of the First Methodist church, will officiate.  The hour and day of services
will be announced later.

Mrs. Davenport was a member of the Methodist church.
