She is a talented musician, a graduate of the Moravia High School, later taking a course at Iowa Wesleyan College, and has since been one of the leading teachers in this part of the county. May 26, 1926 Dear Fred:--I see by a recent issue that you have edited The Excelsior for twenty-five years. I was looking at my receipts and found one for your paper for 1903, which is twenty-three. I think I have been a subscriber ever since you started, and I can remember a quarter of a century before that in and near Blakesburg, as my father located there in 1851 and was married there and raised his family. My oldest brother, Joseph who now lives in Oakland, Cal., was born there, 74 years ago, so you see we could tell a lot about that part of the country for a long time, but we are badly separated from Brookland, (sic) N. Y, where my only sister lives to California where my oldest brother lives. We are as well as common; had a fine winter and a good spring so far. Hoping all the old friends who are left there are well and they live to a ripe old age, I remain, John PaFOLLETTE ( could be FaFOLLETTE)
