Dallas WINECUP was well and favorably known to many of our readers who will regret to learn of his death which occurred at Mr. Pleasant, Iowa, on Monday, February 2, at the ripe age of 76 years. He and his wife had lived in and near Blakesburg for many years, residing for a time on a farm south of town. They afterwards removed to Ottumwa where he was employed in a brick factory for about five years. Afterward they moved to the Mrs. PECK farm where they assisted her with farm work. During the summer of 1924 his health failed and while the best of medical skill was given him, he passed away as stated above. He was born in McConnellsville, Ohio, and came with his parents to this county in the year, 1865, locating on a farm south of town. He was married to Eliza PECK and they raised several adopted children. The body was brought here for burial and the funeral was conducted at the Baptist church by Rev. EAVELAND Wednesday of last week. He was a member of the Free Methodist church, a good christian man and those who knew him were his friends. He leaves his wife and daughter, Mrs. Lacey MORRISON of Centerville and other relatives to mourn his death
