He was a native of Wapello county being born here July 4, 1875. He was united in marriage to Inga PETERSON at Niagara Falls, N.Y. September 21, 1907, and to this union was born seven children, one dying in infancy. He is survived by his wife and six children and two brothers and one sister besides other relatives. He accepted Christ as his Savior when about thirty years of age and was a member of the Church of Christ. The funeral service was preached by R. F. ALLEN and a quartette (sic) furnished several numbers. The body was buried in the Blacksburg cemetery. Mr. CARNAHAN was killed by a tree falling on him.
