She came to Iowa with her parents in 1860 and was married to Leander Scotland CHIDESTER in 1879. This union was blessed with eight children, five boys and three girls. Her husband and three children having preceded her in death. She leave to mourn her death four sons and one daughter. Mrs. Minnie BEAVERS, Savery, Wyoming; Harry and Harvey of Blakesburg and Oscar and Marshall living on the old home place. She also leaves ten grandchildren, four sisters and one brother. Mrs. Caroline JOHNSON of Chillicothe, Mrs. Anzella CANFIELD, Mrs. Dollie FISKE and Mr. Fred JONES of Blakesburg and Mrs. Claraelle MILLER of Ottumwa. Also a host of other ralatives and friends. She was a loyal mother and neighbor. She has been a patient sufferer for many months, Everything that kind and loving hands and medical skill could do was done for her until the Lord relieved her of her pain. A precious one from us is gone, A voice we loved is still. A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled. Funeral services were held at the Bethel church at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon October 23, 1925, conducted by Rev. Chas. L. ELLIS of Blakesburg. The remains were buried in the Bethel cemetery.
