He was united in marriage to Lucy M. JARVIS, July 29, 1922. Besides the devoted wife and adopted son he leaves to mourn his departure, his mother, Mrs. Emma STOCKER of near Blakesburg, two sisters, Mrs. Gust LANDER and Miss Osa STOCKER, both of Marshalltown, Ia., and two brothers, Noah STOCKER of near Blakesburg, and Henry STOCKER now in the Soldiers Hospital, Knoxville, Iowa. He spent his boyhood days on a farm and early in manhood united with the Christian church at Ash Grove, and after moving to Bunch moved his membership to the Bunch Baptist church and remained a loyal and faithful christian until death. He was a soldier in the World’s War, stationed at Camp McArthur, Waco, Texas. The funeral was held in the Bunch Baptist church by Rev. G. I. TURPIN Interment was made in the Johns cemetery.
