MILLER, was born in Marion township, Davis county Iowa March 8, 1893 and departed this life August 29, 1925, aged 32 years five months and 21 days. He has resided all his life on the farm where he was born excepting what time he was away attending school. At the age of 17 he was converted and united with the Pleasant Valley Baptist church, later moving his membership to the Unionville Baptist church where he has remained a faithful and consecrated member, he holding the office of an ordained deacon at the time of his death. He is survived by his father, Allen L. MILLER, one brother, Justus N and one sister, Helen Frances. His mother preceeded him in death October 6, 1920. He also leaves many other relatives and a host of friends who will ever remember him for the exemplary life lived among them. Short services were held at the home Monday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, after which the body was taken to the Unionville Baptist church where services were in charge of his former pastor, the Rev. Luther W. CHILDS of Ottumwa, Iowa. The floral contributions bore a silent testimony of sympathy and esteem. Those acting as pall bearers were Messrs. Herman DYE, Walter, Ernest and Sam PROCTOR, Wilbur MILLER and P. H. WOOD. Interment was made in the Unionville cemetery. Ella May ZIGLER, age 26 years, died at the St. Joseph’s hospital Saturday. The funeral was held Monday morning at the Ash Grove Methodist church. She is survived by her mother, Mary E. ZIGLER, of Ottumwa, sisters, Mrs. Will PROCTOR and Mrs. A. J. BLACK of this vicinity, Mrs. FLETCHER of Oklahoma and three brothers, Arthur of Spirit Lake, Ralph of Ottumwa and Walter of Drakesville.
