She united with the Church of Christ at the age of 18 years and has remained faithful to her profession of faith in Christ. In June 1910 she was united in marriage to Clinton GREGORY and to this union were born three children; Wilma, age 12; Virginia, age 9, Dorothy, age 6. Except five years in Grinnell and two in South Dakota her entire life has been spent near Blakesburg. Her husband preceeded her in death in 1921. She leave to mourn their loss, the three little daughters above named; mother Mrs. Melissa ROSS of this place, seven sisters, Etta SIMPSON and Dollie GLOSSER of South Dakota; Clara BURTON of Denver, Colorado, Corns DUNWOODY of Lenton, Mo., Vina WEIDMAN, Melia SHEEHY, and Ruby McNURLEN and two brothers, Charlie and Grover ROSS all of Blakesburg and many other relatives and a host of friends. Home is not four square walls With pictures hung and gilded; Home is where affection calls (illegible) with shines the heart hats builded The funeral services were held at the Baptist church Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. R. F. ALLEN. At the grave the Celia Rebekah lodge rendered their beautiful service after which the body was laid to rest beside her husband. The Excelsior joins with the people of the entire community in sincerely sympathizing with the sorrowing relatives and especially the orphaned children upon whom the blow falls hardest; bereft of their loving mother at a tender age they will be forced to face the realities of life without her gentle guidance but may they ever retain sacred memories of her kind admonition and loving sacrifices in their early years of life.
