Washington County Historical Society The Washington County Historical Society was organized at Washington, Iowa, June 5, 1905, by the adoption of articles of Incorporation to run 50 years. The objects of the Society are to Collect the history of the pioneers of the County and to preserve The objects illustrative of their modes of life. The officers elected Are: Marsh W. Bailey, President; C. H. Keck, Vice-president; A. R. Miller, Secretary; C. J. Wilson, Curator; J. A. Young, Treasurer; and H. A. Burrell, C. H. Wilson, A. H. Wallace, Col. Bell, Frank Stewart, And S. W.
