This biography was copied from "Washington County in the World War", page 23 Robert Brinton Washington, Iowa Robert Brinton of Washington, was born at Creston, Iowa, on February 18, 1897. He is the son of Geo. H. Brinton and Etta Taylor. He is a graduate of Washington High School. Army Record Sergeant Brinton entered the service, March 4, 1918, going to Camp Dodge, where he was assigned to Sanitary Train 313 of the 88th Division. He landed overseas September 5, 1918, and was first stationed at Semur, France in the Camp Hospitals. He was later stationed in Camp Hospital 33 at Brest. He was discharged September 12,1919, from Camp Dix.
