He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert V. Davis. Army Record Private Davis entered the service February 22, 1918, going to Camp Dodge, where he was placed in Co. A, 313 Supply Train. He was then sent to Camp Gordon, Ga., and transferred to Co. D, 307th Ammunition Train of the 82nd Division. He landed overseas June 27th, 1918 and took part in the St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne drives. He was discharged May 24th, 1919, from Camp Dodge.
