This biography was copied from "Washington County in the World War", page 14 Edgar C. Davison Brighton, Iowa Edgar C. Davison of Brighton, was born at Coppock, Iowa, on December 8, 1890. He was the son of John Davison and Cynthia M. Altar. He was married and his wife's maiden name was Jessie M. Hatton. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant Academy. Army Record Private Davison entered the service April 30, 1917, at Fairfield, Ia., In Co. M, First Iowa Infantry, from which he was transferred to Co. M, 168th Infantry, 42nd Division, at Camp Mills, Long Island, N. Y. He landed overseas December 1, 1917. After training at Rimecourt, France, he went into the Luneville Sector, the Champagne Defensive, Chateau- Thierry, the St. Mihiel Offensive and the Meuse-Argonne. He was Wounded by shrapnel October 18, 1918, during the Argonne drive. He died of wounds October 20, 1918.
