Galloway of Washington, was born in Washington County, Iowa, on December 6, 1897. He is the son of William M. Galloway and Frances Armstrong. Army Record Private Galloway entered the service April 11, 1917, in Troop B, First Iowa Cavalry. He was transferred to Co. D, 126th Machine Battalion, 34th Division at Camp Cody, N. M. He landed overseas September 29, 1918, and was then transferred to Co. M, 138th Infantry, 35th Division, with which he was stationed near Commercy, France. He was discharged May 12, 1919, from Camp Dodge.
