Hennon of West Chester, was born in Dutch Creek township, Washington county, Iowa, on February 11, 1886. He is the son of James Preston Hennon and Margaret Woods. Army Record Private Hennon entered the service May 27, 1918, at Davenport, Iowa, as Mechanic in the Air Service. He was sent first to Sevier, South Carolina, And later to Camp Green, North Carolina. On August 11, 1918, he was transferred to the camp at Garden City, Long Island, N. Y., where he was stationed when he received his discharge on January 16, 1919.
