This biography was copied from "Washington County in the World War", page 26 William A. Kiesey Washington, Iowa William A. Kiesey of Washington, was born at Milan, Illinois, on March 5, 1893. He is the son of William R. Kiesey and Nancy R. Brown. Army Record Corporal Kiesey entered the service July 22, 1918, going to Camp Pike, Ark. He was assigned to the 21st Company, Camp Pike, S. A. R. D., and embarked for overseas September 30, 1918. Upon his arrival in France he was transferred from the Infantry to the Ordnance Department, entering the Ordnance Armament School at St. Jean De Monte, France. He was discharged February 5, 1919, at Camp Dodge.
