This biography was copied from "Washington County in the World War", page 35 Neil Said Kracaw Washington, Iowa Neil Said Kracaw of Washington, was born at Ainsworth, Iowa, on June 24, 1898. He is the son of Harry E. Kracaw and Nora Said. Army Record Private First Class Kracaw entered the service Sept. 4, 1917, at Des Moines, Iowa, in the Quartermaster Corps. He was sent to Fort Logan, Colo., and then to Madison Barracks, N. Y., where he was assigned to Supply Co. 306. He landed overseas January 25, 1918, and was stationed at St. Nazaire, France. He was discharged July 30, 1919, from Camp Dodge.
