This biography was copied from "Washington County in the World War", page 27 Hervey Fulton Masson Washington, Iowa Hervey Fulton Masson of Washington, was born at Allerton, Iowa, on June 10, 1884. He is the son of Rev. Daniel J. Masson and Matilda M. Scofield. He is a graduate of the State University of Iowa, College of Homeopathic Medicine, 1908; State University of Colorado, School of Pharmacy, 1914; State University of Illinois, College of Medicine, 1916. Army Record First Lieutenant Masson entered the service September 12, 1918, receiving his commission in the Medical Corps at Chicago, Illinois. He was sent to Camp Dodge where he was assigned to Ambulance Company 273, 19th Division, remaining with that unit until he received his discharge, January 29, 1919.
